Spinning since the 5th grade, Joshua was first introduced to the pageantry arts while studying tuba in high school at Pearl High School, in Pearl MS. His first experience performing in winter guard was the 2009 Statement Independent cast. His immediate enchantment with the activity led him to pursue further experiences performing with Amor Winterguard from 2012-2013, Paramount World Winterguard from 2014-2017, serving as captain during the 2017 season. His marching drum corps experience began in 2012 and ended in 2014, completing all three seasons with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. After his age out, Joshua was lucky enough to give back to the drum corps that gave so much to him. He served as an Administrator Lead for the 2015 summer and a Colorguard technician for the 2017 summer.

Joshua has also had the opportunity to perform internationally as a guard cast member with the MS Lions All-State Band 2010 (Australia) and 2011 (Canada), and with the cast of Carolina Crown 2014 (Japan). He also performed as a tuba player with the Hinds Community College Brass Quintet (England).

He also enjoys serving as an outside clinician, technician and choreographer for programs in MS and AL.
